Money = Success
I was talking to a friend today and he suggested that I could be doing better job wise, and I think that really had to do with the amount of money I make--he know that I don't make "enough." This is one thing that I struggle with. I would love to make more money and often I feel like I am not being paid enough. But there are so many other parts about my job that make it a "good" job and a good one for me (for at least right now). I am sure that I could get hired at one of the big fancy law firms and make a lot more money. I went to a good law school and did well there. I just like the flexibility that I have at my place and also for the most part like the work. I get to do really neat things that young attorneys do not often get to do. So, I really do believe that this is a good place for me...but is it? Am I just being lazy because I am comfortable here? Does it mean that I am less "successful" than someone that works at mondo-firm across the street? Hmmmm...too deep of thoughts for a Thursday night!!

I don't measure success by money...I measure it by how you feel about your job and position. Sure money is important. We all know that you can't survive with out it (unless you know how to farm or sew LOL). But we can survive with just a little.
I know that if I was working for a firm in Philadelphia I would be making more money. But I wouldn't be doing what I love to do. I wouldn't be in charge of design work, picking everything, designing everything. I would probably be working for someone who would make me do crap work. Because of this I feel successful. I love it. And to me that is much more important than the paycheck.
So if you love what you are doing right now then you ARE successful. Success is also measured by happiness. And it sounds like you are happy with your job...at this moment. Each day adds experience to your resume that will in turn help you get the job you love with the paycheck you love too.
sorry for the novel LOL

Ditto to what Amy said, Lord knows money isn't everything. As long as you feel respected, enjoy the other luxuries like flexibility that this position affords you.
Don't run yourself into the ground girl!
That's my faunt, isn't it :)
I want you to be happy, but I do think there is a better fit for you out there, and that you should never stop looking, never stop trying to get something better. If you look, good things will happen :)
I'll be sure to not tell you that you're underpaid anymore!
